Creamy Crockpot Mashed potatoes
Who doesn’t love mashed potatoes? I am not picky by any means but the creamier the better for me. I love them by themselves or as a side dish, it doesn’t matter as long as they are on my plate. I don’ think I have ever turned down a helping of them. Why would you want to?
This is a super simple recipe for the perfect mashed potatoes. I love to throw this in the crockpot when I have a busy day so I can have this comfort food staple when I get home.
Start by cutting your potatoes, throw them into the crockpot. I usually use a 5lb bag, my family always gets seconds and we leftovers keep nicely in the fridge for a late night snack. Add chicken broth to cover. Now salt and pepper to taste.
Set your crockpot to high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours and continue on with your day. How great is this?
Once potatoes are soft, drain chicken broth. Add butter, cream cheese, sour cream and milk. Mash with potato masher or hand mixer. Add more salt and pepper if desired.
